Duskly edits real estate listing photos and returns what the listing actually needs: the edited image, the unaltered original it was made from, the disclosure wording for each place the photo gets published, and a record of the edit.

Why the compliance layer is the product

The edit is the easy half. Six tools here do what a dozen other tools also do: day to dusk, virtual staging, decluttering, emptying a furnished room, replacing a sky, showing a renovation. What almost nobody ships is the part that comes after.

Since 1 January 2026, California Business & Professions Code §10140.8 has required a licensee publishing a digitally altered listing image to include a conspicuous statement and a link to a publicly accessible page showing the original. Several MLS rulebooks go further and require the unaltered original be placed immediately before or after the altered photo in the sequence. Most editing tools hand back a JPEG and leave the rest to the agent.

How we treat rules

Every jurisdiction rule we publish carries verbatim quoted text, a rule number and a source. Where a rulebook is gated to members and we could not read it, the entry is marked unverified rather than guessed at. We do not publish per-MLS fine schedules, because the ones circulating do not appear in any published rulebook.

The disclosure duty falls on the licensee publishing the listing, not on the software. We generate the wording; you publish it.

What we do not claim

• Paid downloads are the provider's own file. We do not add an invisible pixel

watermark or our own metadata to them.

• Provider credentials embedded by the model are preserved but unverified.
• We do not currently sign C2PA manifests. An unsigned audit assertion is not a

signed credential.

• Multiple angles of the same room are not consistent here, and are not

consistent anywhere yet.

Quality

Every render is compared against the source photo and rejected before you see it if the framing drifted, the building changed, or the exposure stopped reading as a photograph. Rejected attempts are shown to you rather than hidden.
